Job Description

Job Summary All Staff receive free daycare and boarding for their dogs. Staff are paid weekly on every Friday for the previous Sun-Sat. Tips are divided equally between staff each week based on the hours they work and range from $1 to $1.50 extra per hour per week Rate of pay is based on experience and can exceed the posted rate if the experience is present. Happy Dogs is the leading dog care facility in Muncie,In with a focus on our clients and the care of our employees. We are seeking a reliable Dog Day Care Attendant to provide excellent care to dogs staying at our facility. The ideal candidate is someone who loves animals and can provide high-quality pet care for our customers while their dogs lodge with us. Provide a fun, safe, and clean environment for dogs and put customers at ease, assuring them that their pets will be safe while in our care. You will also inform customers of the various grooming, training services, and retail we provide. Prior experience in animal care or kennel management is preferred but not required. Our staff hours are 6:30am to 7:30pm Mon-Fri, Saturday 7am to 7:30pm, Sunday 7am-6pm Business hours are 7am-7pm Mon-Fri, Saturday 8am-7pm, and Sun 12-6pm Duties and Responsibilities Give dogs food and water throughout the day Handle bathing and light grooming tasks Clean and maintain kennels, keeping them free of waste, fur/hair, and other unsanitary or hazardous materials Supervise play areas to ensure pet safety Follow facility guidelines on dog behavior and training Keep records of feeding and play schedules for each dog Help run dogs from the play area/kennels to owners Perform some receptionist duties, such as answering phones, emails, and checking in/out clients when needed Requirements and Qualifications At least 16 years old Prior experience at a dog daycare facility, shelter, or in personal animal care is preferred but not a must Familiarity with various dog breeds Passion for learning and personal growth Passion for taking care of animals Teamwork and communication skills Physical stamina for cleaning and maintaining kennels
