Job Description

Job Overview The Pet Care Boarding and Daycare employee plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our daycare and boarding center. It is vital that the Boarding and Daycare employee ensures a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all animals. This position requires a passionate individual who is dedicated to animal welfare and has strong leadership and communication skills in order to work well with other staff. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of animal care experience, will be hard working and dedicated to keeping the facility clean, the ability to give dogs medication when needed, stick to feeding schedules, and will pay high attention to detail and organization. Duties Ensure the health and safety of all animals in the facility by maintaining cleanliness and proper care protocols Ability to consistently maintain a clean environment (cleaning pet suites, mopping floors, picking up poop) Oversee animal care activities, including feeding, play groups, exercise, and medicines. Maintain accurate records of animal health, behavior, and any incidents that occur within the facility Staying consistent regarding the pet's various schedules (feeding, playtime, etc.) Assists staff in situations requiring immediate problem-solving Monitors animal population status, flow, and inventory Flexibility and schedule and willingness to work weekdays, weekends, mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Assist on weekends with cleaning, running play groups, giving baths, feeding, and working as a team. Skills Strong ability in animal care and pet handling Excellent communication and customer service skills for interacting with team members and pet owners Familiarity with Kennel operations to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the facility. Ability to proactively manage playtimes, organizing play groups, and feeding schedules A compassionate approach towards animals combined with strong leadership qualities Willingness to be flexible and work weekends at anytime in order to assist in the well-being of pets and care.
