Job Description

Job Overview The Pet Care Facility Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our daycare and boarding center. It is vital that the Pet Care Facility Manager ensures a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all animals. This position requires a passionate individual who is dedicated to animal welfare and has strong leadership and communication skills to manage staff and interact with pet owners. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of animal care experience, customer service experience, and managerial capabilities to smoothly and effectively run the facility. Duties Supervise daily operations of the pet care facility, including scheduling staff and managing workflow Ensure the health and safety of all animals in the facility by maintaining cleanliness and proper care protocols Ability to consistently maintain a clean environment (cleaning pet suites, mopping floors, picking up poop) Oversee animal care activities, including feeding, grooming, exercise, and training. Maintain accurate records of animal health, behavior, and any incidents that occur within the facility Train and mentor staff on best practices for animal handling and care Staying consistent regarding the pet's various schedules (feeding, playtime, etc.) Assists staff in situations requiring immediate problem-solving Monitors animal population status, flow, and inventory Requires weekend availibility Skills Excellent communication and customer service skills for interacting with team members and pet owners A compassionate approach towards animals combined with strong leadership qualities Familiarity with Kennel operations to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the facility Ability to proactively manage playtimes, grooming appointments, and feeding schedules Willingness to be flexible and on call at anytime in order to assist in the well-being of pets and employees This position requires full time availability and weekend hours required.
