In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our canine clients. Your expertise will ensure each pet feels comfortable and confident, while fostering positive relationships with pet owners. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, styling, and pet coat maintenance tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs with care and confidence, utilizing animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other hygiene procedures to promote overall health and comfort Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and properly stored Assist with animal handling during grooming sessions, ensuring gentle yet secure restraint for safe procedures Support pet care activities such as feeding, light exercise, or kennel cleaning when needed to enhance overall animal well-being Requirements Proven experience in dog handling, pet grooming, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is highly preferred Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and pet coat styling methods Strong communication skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) safely when handling large dogs or equipment Experience with animal handling across various species is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is advantageous A genuine love for animals combined with excellent customer service skills ensures success in this role Join us to bring your passion for animals into a rewarding career where every day offers new opportunities to improve pets' lives!
