Almost Home Boarding and Training is a locally owned, small business specializing in pet boarding, doggie daycare & grooming. We are looking for dependable individuals with a passion for animals to mostly help with kennel operations and doggie daycare; part-time position(s) available. Duties include (but are not limited to) scrubbing dog runs, overall facility cleaning, laundry, washing dishes, preparing meals, assisting with doggie daycare sessions and preparation, walking dogs & caring for boarding dogs and possibly other pets. Must be able and comfortable handling dogs of all sizes! Must have the energy and stamina to be able to endure long periods of standing, walking, and loud noise, and be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be self-motivated, follow directions, policies and procedures, and have the ability to multitask. This position requires lots of daily walking and cleaning tasks. You cannot be allergic to dogs or peanut butter and cannot be afraid of dogs (any size or breed). Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work at least 3-4 days/week (usually in 7-hour shifts). Just like human hotels, our boarding facility is staffed 365 days a year. Therefore, t his position will require working weekend and holiday shifts! Great possibility for advancement with proficiency of skills and continued growth!
