In this role, you will be the heartbeat of our pet care facility, ensuring every dog receives stimulating enrichment activities while providing friendly, professional support at the front desk. Responsibilities Design and implement engaging enrichment activities tailored to individual dogs' behavior, energy levels, and needs to promote mental stimulation and physical exercise Assist with dog handling, animal restraint, and outdoor work to ensure safe interactions during enrichment sessions and outdoor activities Support pet boarding, pet care, and animal care routines by maintaining cleanliness, sanitization, and overall facility hygiene Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk by greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and managing check-in/check-out processes Maintain accurate records of pet information, enrichment schedules, and client interactions to ensure seamless operations Assist with kennel cleaning, animal restraint procedures, and pet grooming tasks as needed to uphold high standards of animal care and facility sanitation Collaborate with team members on heavy lifting or team lifting tasks related to equipment or supplies handling Qualifications Prior experience is highly desirable; experience in pet sitting or as a veterinary assistant is a plus Knowledge of animal behavior enhances your ability to create effective enrichment plans Experience in kennel management, pet boarding, or daycare environments demonstrate your comfort working with animals in various settings Proficiency in animal handling and pet care facility sanitization ensures safety for pets and staff alike Excellent customer service skills combined with clear communication help foster positive relationships with clients Ability to perform heavy lifting or team lifting safely when handling supplies or equipment Knowledge of pet sitting protocols, pet grooming techniques, and animal behavior management contributes to comprehensive care delivery Punctuality and dependability are paramount Shifts vary between 7:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday, and one half Saturday per month Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of dogs and their owners!
