Pet Care Associate, Magnolia Groom & Zoom, Taylorsville, KY We are looking for a great team member who loves animals and wants to be part of a new and exciting growing business! Job Summary The Pet Care Associate is responsible for providing loving, attentive, and reliable care to the dogs in our care. This team member helps ensure every pet feels safe, comfortable, clean, and well cared for while supporting the daily operations of our pet daycare, boarding, and grooming services. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience working with animals, is dependable, energetic, compassionate, and passionate about animals. Duties & Responsibilities Provide daily care, supervision, and attention to dogs in daycare and boarding. Feed pets according to owner instructions and ensure fresh water is always available. Take dogs outside for potty breaks and provide appropriate exercise and playtime. Monitor pets closely for changes in behavior, appetite, energy level, or overall well-being and report concerns to management. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all pets. Clean and sanitize kennels, daycare areas, feeding areas, and other pet care spaces. Assist with safely handling and moving dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Supervise group play and encourage safe, positive interactions between pets. Provide individual attention, comfort, and enrichment activities for pets in our care. Assist the grooming team with bathing, drying, brushing, and other basic pet care duties as needed. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and pet care protocols. Communicate professionally and kindly with pet parents and team members. Help maintain a welcoming, organized, and positive environment for both pets and people. Perform other duties as needed to support the Magnolia Groom & Zoom team. Qualifications A genuine love for animals and a passion for providing exceptional pet care. Comfortable working with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and personalities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, active environment. Dependable, responsible, and able to work well as part of a team. Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required during the workday. Previous experience with animals is required.
