Experience is preferred. 1099 position with the ability to make your own set schedule. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet grooming salon leader, you will be responsible for the grooming and care of pets, ensuring they look their best while maintaining their health and well-being, and ensuring the salon stays on track with policies and procedures . This role requires strong animal handling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and nail trimming for various breeds of dogs. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs and aftercare. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working order. Handle animals safely and effectively, using proper restraint techniques when necessary. Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being of pets in our care. Assist with kennel duties as needed, including feeding, walking, and monitoring the health of animals. Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is preferred. Strong animal handling skills with experience in animal restraint techniques. Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming needs is highly desirable. Ability to lift heavy animals safely as required during grooming sessions. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members. A passion for animal care and welfare is essential; previous experience in dog training or pet care is a plus. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
