Overview Paisley's Posh Paws is looking for an experienced Part-Time Pet Groomer who wants independence, flexibility, and the opportunity to grow their own clientele without the stress of running their own salon. We are a small, independently owned business offering one-on-one, appointment-based grooming in a calm environment. We are NOT a corporate or high-volume salon, and there is no micromanaging . We want an experienced groomer who can come in, manage their appointments, provide excellent grooms, and take pride in their clients and workspace. This is a W-2, commission-based position paid per dog . Our greatest need is Tuesdays and Wednesdays , although other days are available. We are also looking to begin offering evening appointments for clients needing after-work grooming. Evening hours are completely optional. Take as many clients as you would like and help us continue building on the amazing clientele we already have. Duties Perform full-service grooming including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, scissoring, nail care and finishing Provide quality, one-on-one grooming based on each dog's individual needs Safely and confidently work with dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments Communicate professionally with clients regarding grooming needs and maintenance schedules Help encourage rebooking and build long-term relationships with clients Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming station and clean up after the dogs you groom Maintain your own professional grooming tools Communicate with leadership before salon products or supplies are running low Help grow our grooming clientele while providing excellent care to our established clients We use aromatherapy along with quality natural shampoos, conditioners and specialty products to support healthy skin and coats and create a more comfortable grooming experience. Experience Professional grooming experience required Must be able to independently complete full grooms from start to finish Strong understanding of canine body language and safe handling Comfortable working with a variety of dog behaviors; experience with fearful, anxious, senior or behaviorally sensitive dogs is a plus Dependable with a strong work ethic Able to work independently without being micromanaged Must have your own professional grooming tools Excellent communication and customer service skills Motivated to build clientele, encourage rebooking and increase earning potential Most of our clients are already on regular grooming programs and are truly an amazing group of clients and dogs.
