Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including prep work, brushing, hair trimming, pet coat styling, and nail trimming to meet each dog's specific needs and breed standards Handle animals with care and confidence, utilizing animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff during grooming procedures Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide advice on pet coat maintenance and overall pet care Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming stations, tools, and equipment to uphold health standards Assist with pet handling and animal care tasks such as feeding, light veterinary assistance, or veterinary technician support when needed Manage heavy lifting involved in handling larger dogs or equipment safely and efficiently Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service, fostering trust and loyalty Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming, including dog handling and animal restraint techniques Knowledge of veterinary practices or veterinary technician experience is highly desirable to understand animal health considerations during grooming Skills in pet coat styling, pet nail trimming, and general pet grooming are essential Strong communication skills to engage with pet owners clearly and professionally about grooming needs and animal care tips Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large dogs or equipment Experience in animal care roles such as veterinary assistant or veterinary technician enhances your suitability for this role A passion for animal welfare combined with excellent customer service skills ensures a positive experience for both pets and their owners Must be able to work in a fast paced atmosphere and multi-task Pet CPR & First Aid Training will be provided Must have transportation Learn our booking system using Gingr Join us to turn your love for animals into a rewarding career where every day brings new opportunities to make pets look good and feel great!
