Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and caring Dog Walker to join our team. The ideal applicant will have previous experience with animal care and handling, along with a genuine interest in providing safe, attentive exercise and care for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. This position includes walking dogs throughout different neighborhoods, prioritizing their safety, and creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Safely exercise and walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments while following each pet's specific care instructions Properly manage and control dogs using appropriate handling and restraint methods Observe dogs throughout walks for any signs of discomfort, stress, injury, or health concerns and communicate issues when necessary Keep work areas and walking routes clean and orderly, including properly disposing of pet waste Communicate professionally with pet owners about their dog's behavior, condition, and overall well-being Provide pet-sitting support when required, including feeding, administering medications, and offering companionship Handle physical tasks as needed, including lifting up to 40 lbs, transporting supplies, or assisting with larger dogs Qualifications Previous professional experience as a dog walker (required) Knowledge of canine behavior, socialization, and interactions between multiple dogs Ability to confidently manage several dogs with different breeds, sizes, and personalities Physically capable of walking or hiking multiple miles each day in a variety of weather conditions Excellent communication, judgment, and problem-solving abilities Genuine commitment to animal safety, care, and well-being

Have you ever been solely responsible for a dog's daily care? If so, for how long? This role is very active (multiple miles of walking/hiking daily). Are you able to meet those physical demands? Are you comfortable with part-time training into full-time transition — and when are you able to start? This is a full-time position Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Do you have any upcoming changes (school, travel, relocation) that would affect your availability? We build our routes so there is no driving between clients. Are you able to commute into work via the T train? Have you worked as a professional dog walker? Where and for how long?
