Key Responsibilities:
Bathe, dry, and brush dogs of all sizes and breeds using appropriate techniques and products Safely handle pets at all times, ensuring their comfort and minimizing stress or injury Identify and report signs of skin issues, injuries, or behavioral concerns to the grooming staff Clean and disinfect tubs, grooming tables, tools, kennels, and the grooming area regularly Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following sanitation protocols Assist groomers with tasks such as nail trims, ear cleaning, and dematting , under supervision Greet pet owners in a friendly manner and ensure pets are returned clean and happy Follow all safety and animal welfare guidelines , including use of restraints and PPE when necessary
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with animals (in a grooming, shelter, kennel, or vet setting) preferred Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Willingness to learn grooming techniques and safety protocols Patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor around animals
Work Environment:
Wet and noisy environment with frequent contact with water, shampoos, and fur Exposure to various pet behaviors including barking, jumping, and anxious or reactive dogs Must follow all health and safety regulations for the wellbeing of pets and staff
