The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to animals, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting the overall well-being of our furry clients. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with animals and contribute to their health and happiness in a professional setting. Responsibilities Feed, water, and monitor animals' health and behavior throughout the day Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment Assist with animal grooming, including bathing, brushing, and trimming as needed Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to prevent injury or stress Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report findings to veterinary staff Support pet owners with check-in/check-out procedures and answer basic questions about pet care Assist veterinary technicians or veterinarians during examinations or treatments Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and treatments Provide compassionate pet sitting services when required Occasional yard work around the property, examples raking, shoveling, lawn mowing Qualifications Prior experience with dog training, pet grooming, or animal handling is preferred Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and pet care best practices Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to handle animals safely, including heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds when necessary Experience in kennel operations or veterinary environments is advantageous Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment This position is ideal for individuals passionate about animal welfare who are eager to develop their skills in veterinary care and pet handling.
