Job Summary Do you believe that muddy paws are a badge of honor? Do you think "best day ever" means being surrounded by dogs and a few fabulous cats? Are you energized by zoomies, enrichment activities, tail wags? We are looking specifically for help on weekends. Responsibilities Provide daily care, feeding, and enrichment for animals Supervising safe, structured dog play groups Administer medications and treatments following veterinary instructions accurately Supporting enrichment activities for the dogs Monitoring behavior and ensuring a safe environment Handle a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and small animals Assist with pet care activities such as bathing, grooming, and exercise routines Support front desk duties including client communication, appointment scheduling, and check-in/check-out processes when needed Maintain cleanliness of playrooms, kennels, yards and equipment in accordance with safety standards Requirements Prior kennel experience or animal husbandry background preferred Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting is highly desirable Skills in animal feeding, medication administration, and pet handling are essential Strong attention to detail Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Compassionate attitude towards animals and clients alike Excellent communication and customer service skills Experience supervising playgroups is highly desirable Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays You're a great fit if you: Are comfortable managing groups of dogs of all sizes Stay calm, observant, and confident in busy environments Don't mind being on your feet and working outdoors in all seasons Are reliable, punctual, and a strong team player Have prior animal care experience (preferred but not required - we will train the right person!) Must be able to work weekends and holidays This is a physically active position that requires standing, lifting, bending and lots of movement throughout the day.
