Job Description

Kennel Staff Position We are looking for a dependable, responsible, and hardworking person to join our kennel team. Working with dogs is rewarding, but it is also a job that requires responsibility, common sense, and a strong work ethic. Our dogs depend on us every day, and their care always comes first.
Responsibilities include:
  • Feeding dogs twice a day, and three times a day when needed
  • Making sure every dog has fresh water
  • Giving medications as directed
  • Cleaning kennels, yards, and common areas
  • Supervising playgroups and making sure dogs are safe
  • Paying attention to each dog's individual needs
  • Keeping the kennel clean, organized, and running smoothly
  • Working as part of a team and helping wherever needed This is a job for someone who can see what needs to be done and do it without always being asked.
We are looking for people who are self-starters, dependable, have good common sense, and are comfortable working around dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. The workload can vary. Some days are extremely busy, while other days are slower. Our busiest times depend on the time of year, holidays, and school vacations, so flexibility and dependability are important. This is not an easy job, but it isn't difficult when you are willing to work, stay organized, and take pride in what you do. Most importantly, it is a very rewarding job. You get to spend your day caring for dogs, keeping them happy and safe—and if you do your job well, you'll get plenty of kisses, wagging tails, and happy faces in return. If you love dogs, have a good work ethic, and are looking for a job where your work truly makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
