Overview:

Join our grooming team at Pampered Puppies as a Dog Grooming Assistant, where you'll build hands-on experience working alongside our professional groomers in a supportive, dog-loving environment. In this role, you'll help prepare dogs for their finishing touches through bathing, drying, and brushing, all while learning the breeds, tools, and standards that could grow into a full grooming career. Your reliability, work ethic, and comfort handling dogs of all shapes and sizes will help keep our salon running smoothly and every dog comfortable throughout their visit.

Responsibilities:

Assisting our groomers with bathing, drying, brushing, and prepping dogs before their appointments Learning dog breeds, coat types, and grooming standards and tools as you build hands-on experience in the salon Coat conditioning and combing/brushing to prepare dogs for their finish groom Keeping the grooming salon clean, organized, and stocked Other miscellaneous duties to support the grooming team

Qualifications:

Experience

• prior experience with dogs is a plus, whether that's professional grooming or bathing experience, or hands-on experience through ownership, volunteering, or another animal-care job. We'll train the right person on our systems and standards. Physical stamina
• this is a physically demanding, hands-on role. You'll be on your feet, lifting and safely handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments throughout your shift starting on day one. Reliability
• you must be dependable and able to demonstrate good performance and attendance in past jobs.
