5 Positions Job Overview Laboratories is seeking compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented individuals to join its team as Animal Care Associates in Wilmington, MA. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates interested in building a career in the life sciences, research, or animal care field. No prior animal care experience is required—comprehensive training will be provided. Responsibilities Provide daily care for research animals, including feeding, watering, and maintaining clean housing environments. Receive, inspect, and properly house incoming animals. Perform routine health observations and document findings. Assist with administering medications, injections, and blood collection following training and established protocols. Maintain animal welfare standards and ensure compliance with facility procedures. Restock supplies and assist with general facility operations as needed. Qualifications Minimum 6 months of general work experience required. No High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented with a positive attitude. Must be local to the Wilmington, MA area and able to work onsite. Must be comfortable working with animals. Important Pet Ownership Restrictions Due to biosecurity requirements, employees working with research animals cannot own or have regular contact with certain animal species, including: Mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, gerbils, or non-human primates. Wild rodents such as squirrels, chipmunks, hedgehogs, chinchillas, opossums, and similar species. Reptiles or animals that are routinely fed rodents or rabbits. Raccoons, skunks, opossums, and similar wildlife. Employees may own traditional domestic pets such as: Dogs Cats Fish Birds Ferrets Horses Cattle Sheep Goats Why Join Laboratories?
