Job Overview Join our dynamic pet care team as a Dog Bather, where your passion for animals and attention to detail will shine! In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for providing top-quality grooming and bathing services to ensure our canine clients look and feel their best. Your expertise will help foster happy, healthy pets and satisfied pet owners. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in animal handling, grooming, and customer service within a supportive environment dedicated to animal well-being. Duties Safely handle dogs during bathing, grooming, and drying processes using proper animal restraint techniques Perform pet coat styling, pet grooming, nail trimming, and ear cleaning to meet individual breed standards and owner preferences Maintain a clean, organized grooming station by disinfecting tools and work areas regularly Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare recommendations Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, walking, or kennel cleaning as needed to support overall animal well-being Handle animals with compassion and patience, ensuring stress-free experiences for each pet during grooming sessions Assist veterinary staff or technicians with basic animal handling or restraint when necessary for safety and health reasons Experience Prior experience in pet grooming or dog handling is highly preferred Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles, especially involving animal care or restraint techniques Familiarity with dog training principles and veterinary procedures enhances your ability to work confidently with animals of all temperaments Experience with animal handling across different species such as equine or companion animals is a plus Strong communication skills for engaging with pet owners and team members effectively Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or large dogs Knowledge of kennel management, pet sitting, and general animal care practices is advantageous Join us in creating a positive environment where pets are pampered and owners feel confident in our care. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
