What they do
An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description
- Supervise dog playgroups and keep play safe and positive
- Walk, play with and provide enrichment for dogs
- Care for both boarding dogs and cats
- Perform routine health and wellness checks
- Feed pets and follow individual care instructions
- Keep kennels, play yards and common areas clean
- Assist with baths and nail trims
- Help with laundry and general facility upkeep
- Work together with your team to make sure every pet gets great care What We're Looking For Animal experience is important, but reliability and work ethic matter just as much.
You should have:
- A genuine love for dogs and cats
- The ability to stay active and on your feet for an entire shift
- The ability to safely lift up to 40 lbs
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills and the ability to take direction
- Reliable transportation
- Availability for weekends and holidays
