Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

What You'll Do:
- Provide daily care for dogs, cats, and other household pets (feeding, walking, cleaning up after pets, administering medications as needed)
- Keep pets happy and healthy by following specific care instructions.
- Conduct in-home visits and overnight stays as required
- Communicate with pet owners through updates, reports, and photos
- Work independently with a high level of responsibility and care
- Assist with light admin tasks or client communication, as needed
- Meet new furry friends every day and enjoy the joy of spending time with animals.
- Recieve quality training to deal with an assortment of animal temperaments
Requirements:
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being
- Someone who's comfortable and confident around animals. Previous pet care experience is a bonus
- Reliable transportation is required
- you'll need a vehicle to travel between pet visits, you will be traveling between Silver Spring and parts of NW DC
- Availability for weekends and holidays. Overnights is a requirement
- Strong communication and time-management skills
