Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Attendant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for our canine and feline guests! In this role, you will ensure the well-being, cleanliness, and safety of animals in our care while supporting the daily operations of our facility. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming environment for pets and their owners. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals, develop your pet care skills, and contribute to a compassionate, enriching, and attentive approach to daycare, boarding, and grooming for cats and dogs. Some weekend and holiday availability is required. Major holidays are double time pay. Weekly paychecks every Friday. Responsibilities Provide attentive dog and cat handling and care, including feeding, walking, engaging with the pets and monitoring behavior to ensure animals are comfortable, happy and healthy Maintain cleanliness of kennels, common areas, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards Offer pet sitting services for short-term stays, ensuring pets are cared for with kindness and attention Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with large animals or crates as needed Skills Experience with dog and cat handling techniques to promote positive behavior Previous experience in veterinary medicine, pet grooming, or pet boarding/daycare is highly valued Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of animal restraint methods Knowledge of pet grooming procedures and pet sitting best practices Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and visitors. A positive, calm and relaxed presence in times of high commotion, stress and fast-pace, loud environments. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and safety protocols Passion for animal care combined with a proactive attitude to support team efforts Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners! Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
