This role requires a blend of technical grooming skills, customer service abilities, and a genuine affection for animals. Responsibilities Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming treatments. Maintain cleanliness in the grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide recommendations. Handle pets safely and comfortably during grooming sessions, ensuring their well-being throughout the process. Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or discomfort during grooming and report findings to pet owners. Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Skills Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners. Knowledge of animal care practices, including handling techniques and basic animal restraint methods. Familiarity with kennel operations and procedures is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment.
