In this vital role, you will maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for our animal guests. Your proactive approach and compassionate attitude will contribute to a positive experience for both animals and clients alike at our established boarding facility. The facility is open to the public every day, by appointment during business hours. A typical day consists of two shifts
  • morning from 8 am
  • 1 pm, and afternoon from 4 pm
  • 9 pm.
Typically there is one person per shift except on appointment-heavy days. Schedules are provided at the end of the month for the entire following month. The successful candidate will start with 2-3 training shifts per week, with a typical work week consisting of at least 2 shifts (~10 hours), up to possibly 5 shifts/week (~25 hours). This role is perfect for college students in need of flexible schedules! Duties Assist with animal check-in and check-out and daily care routines to promote comfort and well-being Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to prevent injury and reduce stress Participate in and supervise outdoor playtime with dogs Daily feeding and providing fresh water, as well as administering medication to animals as needed Maintain good documentation and communication among the team regarding animal behavior, any issues, and information that needs to be passed on to pet parents Aid in client communication by providing updates on animal care and answering basic questions with professionalism Other duties as required Requirements Prior kennel experience or background in animal handling preferred Experience with pet care procedures including medication administration and record keeping Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members in a professional manner If you're passionate about animals and eager to grow your career in veterinary medicine or animal care, we invite you to apply!
