Learn what makes us voted "Best of the Best" in The Ortonville/Goodrich area for Best Kennel! : Our kennel is a full-service boarding, training and grooming facility owned and operated by a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Stonington Kennels was opened in 1978 and the quality of care for the pets staying here has continued to be our highest priority. We strive to create a stress-free environment for all who stay with us. Pets that stay here are never put with others unless they are housemates. We give each of our guest our personal attention through play and exercise.
Summary of Position:
Our staff consists of animal professionals who have dedicated many years to working with all kinds of animals! We are looking to add another skilled individual to our team who is just as passionate about caring for our clients pets as we are. Your time spent working here would include playing, feeding, medicating and cleaning up after our guests. This position can be physically demanding as you are working hands on with animals and the care and upkeep of them. Due to the nature of our business, holidays and weekends are the busiest time for us as people are on vacationing. This requires our employees to commit time to working on holidays and weekends. We start our pay at $15.00 per hour. We hold quarterly reviews with eligibility for raises. When our clients provide tips, we pool them together and divide them among our employees.
Position Responsibilities:
Administer food, medication and water to guests in our care Potty the guests in our care Clean kennels/Cat Condos Clean up messes (accidents, litter boxes, vomit etc.) Playing with the guests in our care Taking pictures of the pets in our care Daily housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, dishes, laundry etc.) Requirements for
Position:
Must be 18 years of age to apply Must have reliable transportation Must have weekend and holiday availability This position is temporary with a possibility of it becoming long-term.
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
