Job Summary Lucky Puppy is looking for a reliable, caring Pack Leader to join our team. We are a structured, relationship-based doggy daycare where dogs are treated like family and employees work as a close-knit team. We take pride in maintaining a clean, safe and fun home-away-from-home environment for the dogs in our care. Lucky Puppy offers a 13 acre outdoor facility with a pool, pond and wooded trails. Although we have an indoor play yard available, most activities are conducted outdoors. The perfect candidate will enjoy working outdoors in all seasons. Applicants must be comfortable being on their feet and actively moving throughout the entire shift. This is a physically active job for someone who enjoys working with dogs, working outdoors, and takes pride in doing things the right way. This position offers long-term growth opportunities for the right person. Responsibilities Work as part of a team to safely supervise and manage groups of 40-50 dogs on one of our 3 acre playgrounds. Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary environment Follow daily routines and checklists Observe dog behavior and report concerns Help maintain an organized facility Work cooperatively with a small team Take occasional photos and videos of dogs for client updates and social media Assist with birthday and holiday celebrations for the dogs Qualifications Reliable and punctual Calm and observant Detail-oriented Takes initiative and looks for ways to help without being asked Comfortable working independently or as part of a team Physically active and comfortable working outdoors in all seasons Able to follow procedures and complete tasks thoroughly and consistently Willing to learn and accept coaching Comfortable around dogs of all sizes and energy levels Honest, dependable, and able to communicate professionally with clients and coworkers Experience with dogs is helpful but not required. We will train the right person. Training & Advancement Lucky Puppy uses a structured training program to develop professional Pack Leaders.

Training includes:

Hands-on instruction Canine body language education Reading coursework (completed independently outside of work hours) Video coursework Supervised pack handling Testing upon completion of bookwork and videos Employees are released as Lucky Puppy Pack Leaders once they demonstrate the skills and judgment needed to safely manage the pack. Testing is given and raises may be available at 30, 60 and 90 days.

Starting pay:

$15.00 per hour Full Pack Leader pay: $17.00 per hour IRA (up to 3%) matching available. Paid vacation after your 1st full year. PTO accumulates according to Michigan law. Additional raises and leadership opportunities are available for employees who take on greater responsibility. There is plenty of room for advancement.
