Overview Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Attendant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for animals in our pet care facility. This energetic role involves caring for pets, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting the overall well-being of our furry guests. Responsibilities Provide attentive pet care including feeding, watering, exercise, and monitoring health status Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and grooming activities as needed Support animal behavior assessments and basic training exercises to promote good conduct Perform outdoor duties such as yard cleaning, enclosure maintenance, and outdoor exercise routines Collaborate with team members during heavy lifting tasks like moving supplies or large animals to ensure safety for all Experience Previous veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel work demonstrating animal handling proficiency Familiarity with pet grooming techniques and animal restraint methods Knowledge of animal behavior and pet care facility sanitization standards Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Prior experience in animal care environments emphasizing safety, cleanliness, and compassionate handling
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
