Job Description

Please only apply if you have prior professional dog Kennel Experience . Are you a dog lover? We are hiring for the positions of daytime Kennel Attendants. We are looking for someone who loves to work with dogs but understands that this is not a job for the faint of heart. This is a physical and messy job, but it can be very rewarding. Our Luxury Pet Resort is a fun and active place for dogs to enjoy the company of other canines, burn off some energy and enjoy the company of our Kennel Attendants! We invest the time in training our staff on dog behavior and reading dog body language. Our daily schedule is systematic, organized and designed to flow easily, fostering an easy work environment.
BEFORE APPLYING, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE OVER THE AGE OF 18, WILL WORK SATURDAY & SUNDAYS, AND HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE.
Providing Basic Care:
Feeding, watering, and ensuring animals have access to fresh bedding.
Availability:
Must be available weekdays, weekends and all major holidays. Weekends are required because we are the busiest when everyone else is out of town and having fun!
Maintaining Cleanliness:
Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and other animal living areas.
Providing Exercise, Enrichment, and Socialization:
Taking dogs for walks, playing with animals, and providing opportunities for socialization.
Group Play:
Overseeing various dog play times throughout the day
Monitoring Animal Health:
Observing animals for signs of illness or distress and reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff.
Basic Grooming:
Bathing and brushing.
Administering Medications:
Assisting with medication administration under the guidance of management or veterinary staff.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of animal care, behavior, and medication.
Communication:
Having good communication skills with your teammates during shifts.
Dependable & Reliable:
understanding the responsibility to be a part of a team and taking the commitment to a schedule seriously and show up on time.
Safety:
Committed to our safety protocols at all times.
This is a physical job:
Must be able to lift a 35 pound bag of dog food, stand on their feet for long periods of time and handle dogs of all sizes.
Team Work:
Works well with other people and actively works on maintaining a healthy work environment for everyone. Hourly pay rate is determined by prior work experience. We offer advancement opportunities as you grow with our company. You will also be eligible to receive monthly cash & credit card tips after the 90 day probational period, which could add a few hundred extra dollars per month for your overall earnings. You will also qualify for free daycare for your dog while you're working and a 50% discount for boarding. We offer annual raises and after your first year, you earn a week of paid vacation days. We have a fun work culture with a focus on providing consistent high-quality care to our dog guests!
Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
