In this role, you will deliver top-quality grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our canine clients. Your expertise will ensure each pet leaves feeling comfortable, confident, and looking their best. Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and pet coat maintenance tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely using animal restraint techniques to ensure both pet and groomer safety during grooming procedures Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, brushing, and de-shedding treatments with precision and care Communicate effectively with pet owners to discuss grooming preferences, provide pet care advice, and address any special needs or concerns Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use Assist with pet handling during grooming sessions, ensuring animals are comfortable and relaxed throughout the process Support additional animal care activities such as basic veterinary procedures or assisting veterinary technicians when needed Skills Extensive dog handling experience with various breeds and temperaments Knowledge of pet coat styling techniques across different coat types and grooming styles Strong animal handling skills including animal restraint and safe lifting of heavy or large dogs Familiarity with veterinary procedures such as veterinary technician or assistant experience enhances your ability to handle pets' health needs during grooming Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners confidently and professionally Ability to perform pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, bathing, and other grooming tasks efficiently Experience in animal care environments such as veterinary clinics or equine settings adds valuable insight into animal behavior and health management Customer service skills to create positive experiences for clients while promoting repeat business Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
