Groomers Assistant Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Groomers Assistant to support our pet grooming team in providing exceptional care and grooming services for companion animals. The ideal candidate will assist with pet handling, grooming tasks, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for animals and their owners. Responsibilities Assist with pet grooming procedures, including bathing, brushing, and drying pets. Handle companion animals with care and compassion, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process. Support pet care activities such as feeding, cleaning, and maintaining cleanliness in grooming areas. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, grooming preferences, and any concerns. Restrain animals safely during grooming procedures to prevent injury or stress. Perform pet nail trimming and other basic grooming tasks under supervision. Handle dogs and other animals during grooming sessions, ensuring proper animal handling techniques are followed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and hygiene standards. Requirements Prior experience or interest in pet grooming and animal handling is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Ability to handle animals gently and confidently, demonstrating patience and compassion. Strong communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members. Basic knowledge of animal behavior and safety protocols related to animal restraint and care. Reliable, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift pets as needed, and perform grooming tasks comfortably.
