Our hospital offers comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, and preventative care, including digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, endoscopy, and more. We also provide boarding and grooming services for our clients. We're proud of our experienced, long-term team and are looking for a dependable, compassionate individual to join us as a Part-Time Kennel Attendant . Position Summary As a Kennel Attendant, you will play an important role in ensuring our boarding pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for during their stay. Responsibilities Feed and care for boarding dogs and cats Walk and exercise pets Monitor pets for health or behavioral concerns Administer medications as directed Clean kennels, runs, litter boxes, food and water bowls Maintain accurate boarding records Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties throughout the boarding facility Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Previous animal care experience is preferred but not required—we are happy to train the right candidate Must have reliable transportation and be able to consistently commute to Mounds View, MN Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Able to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods while caring for animals Schedule This is a part-time position averaging 25-30 hours per month .
Regular Schedule Requirements:
One weekday evening shift per week (approximately 6:00 PM-8:00/9:00 PM) Two weekend rotations per month, including: Morning shift: Approximately 8:00 AM until duties are completed (typically 11:00 AM-12:00 PM) Evening shift: Approximately 6:00 PM-9:00 PM (or until duties are completed) Additional fill-in opportunities may be available for: Weekday morning shifts (approximately 8:00 AM-12:00 PM) Weekday evening shifts Holidays Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule On-the-job training Paid training Uniform allowance Application Question This position requires a minimum commitment of 25-30 hours per month , including: One weekday evening shift each week (approximately four evening shifts per month) Two full weekend rotations per month (Saturday and Sunday morning and evening shifts) Are you able to meet these scheduling requirements?
