$20.00/hourPOSITION DESCRIPTION
The Training Coordinator supports the Zoo & Aquarium's learning program by conducting orientation sessions for employees and volunteers, and assisting with other professional development opportunities. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evening hours, in all weather extremes. The Training Coordinator will also assist the Human Resources Department by performing various tasks and serving as a backup to other department employees, ensuring vital responsibilities may be performed in case of absence.POSITION DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties Percentage Leads orientation training processes, including: Conducting employee and volunteer orientation sessions, under the guidance of the Learning & Development Manager. Coordinating orientation logistics, including technology, transportation, supplies, etc. Organizing and maintaining orientation materials. Providing ongoing support for new employees during their initial days of employment. Incorporating strategies to amodate diverse learning styles and classroom needs. 60% Assists the Learning & Development Manager with employee and volunteer development opportunities, including: Maintaining all learning management system records and accounts with accuracy and consistency. Partnering with departments to evaluate training needs. Organizing and/or conducting department/industry specific training as appropriate. Delivering safety andpliance related training, such as monthly safety chats, as well as maintaining training records and coordinating recertifications as needed. Delivering CPR/AED/First Aid training and coordinating all aspects of training for other instructors. Supporting the execution of other learning and development programs as needed. 30% Performs administrative tasks and serves as backup for various HR roles, as needed. 10% •This position may at times be requested to perform other duties or special projects as assigned, which are in the best interest of the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium. •All employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily and, upon request, reasonable amodations will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job, absent undue hardship.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & FORMALTRAINING
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills. Strong verbal and writtenmunication skills. Strongputer skills, including Microsoft Office. Can represent thepany in a professional and positive manner. Previous administrative/office experience desired. Multilingual skills weed.OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
