Professional Pet Groomer 751 Watson Drive, Kearney, MO 64060 $17.50 - $27.50 an hour - Part-time $17.50 - $27.50 an hour - Part-time Professional Pet Groomer (Dogs & Cats) Part-Time | Mondays 8:00 AM-5:30 PM and Saturdays 8:00 AM-12:30 PM Additional hours may be available based on the applicant's experience, availability, and interview process. Harmony Hill Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and service-oriented Professional Pet Groomer to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride not only in the quality of their grooming work, but also in creating a positive, low-stress experience for every pet in their care. Our ideal candidate understands that grooming is about more than appearance—it is an opportunity to build trust with pets and their owners through patience, safety, professionalism, and excellent communication. Responsibilities Perform professional grooming services for both dogs and cats. Consult with clients to understand their grooming goals and provide recommendations appropriate to the pet's breed, coat condition, temperament, and health status. Handle pets with patience, kindness, and confidence while prioritizing their comfort and well-being. Monitor pets throughout the grooming process and recognize signs of stress or discomfort. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming area. Communicate effectively with clients and veterinary staff regarding grooming needs, concerns, and observations about a pet's condition. Uphold high standards of safety and professionalism at all times. Qualifications Previous professional grooming experience required. Ability and experience grooming cats is required. Strong understanding of safe animal handling and low-stress grooming techniques. Commitment to providing a positive experience for pets and their families. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Comfortable speaking with clients about their pets, discussing grooming recommendations, and addressing questions or concerns. Dependable, organized, and able to work independently while collaborating with the veterinary team. Professional appearance and positive attitude.
