Animal Care Technician

Pete and Mac's Pet Resort, powered by Best Friends Pet Care, is seeking an Animal Care Technician to provide loving care for our pet guests while they stay and play in our pet hotel, focusing on safety, comfort, and cleanliness. This position requires supervision and clean up after doggy playgroup, lots of on-your-feet exercise - walking pets, throwing balls, and scratching ears. Candidates must be able to lift 40 lbs., be on your feet 4-5 hours at a time, and have the flexibility to work weekends and/or holidays. General kennel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning and maintenance of pet suites, condos, general boarding areas, and kitchen Feeding and watering pet guests Monitoring and charting every pet guest Monitoring pet belonging Monitoring for any abnormalities Laundering duties Treating guests, co-workers and customers in a professional, courteous manner Work in a fast paced environment Assisting other associates and performing other duties as needed

Requirements:

Must be reliable, punctual, and able to manage time well Must be able to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays Must be able to frequently lift 40 pounds Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions Must have excellent interpersonal skills Must have strong communication skills Must possess a love of animals and patience when handling pets Displays a professional manner at all times To learn more, please visit on the web: www.bestfriendspetcare.com
