Job Description

Full-Time | 4 Days On / 3 Days Off | Flexible Scheduling We are looking for a reliable, caring, and dedicated individual who genuinely loves ferrets to join our team as a Ferret Care Technician. This position is ideal for someone who has a strong interest in ferrets and enjoys providing attentive, hands-on care. Experience with ferrets is a plus, but the right attitude, willingness to learn, and genuine love for the animals are most important. Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care and attention to ferrets
  • Feed ferrets according to established schedules and care instructions
  • Clean cages, play areas, and surrounding spaces
  • Wash and sanitize food and water dishes
  • Handle laundry, including bedding, blankets, and towels
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
  • Observe ferrets for changes in behavior, appetite, or overall condition and report concerns
  • Provide enrichment, interaction, and gentle handling
  • Follow established cleaning, feeding, and animal-care procedures
  • Help ensure all ferrets receive consistent, compassionate care What We're Looking For
  • A genuine love and interest in ferrets
  • Dependable and responsible
  • Comfortable with cleaning and routine animal-care tasks
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow care instructions
  • Patient, gentle, and attentive when handling animals
  • Able to work independently while also being part of a team
  • Willingness to learn about ferret health, behavior, and husbandry
  • Previous animal-care or ferret experience is a plus, but not required for the right person Schedule
  • Full-time
  • 4 days on / 3 days off
  • Hours may vary depending on the needs of the ferrets and the facility
  • Some flexibility in scheduling is available
