Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pets. This role involves daily interaction with animals, ensuring their well-being, and maintaining cleanliness in the kennel facilities. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising pets. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Maintain cleanliness in all kennel areas by performing regular cleaning tasks. Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed. Support pet grooming activities and ensure proper hygiene standards are met. Help with dog training sessions as required, promoting positive behavior. Maintain accurate records of animal care and health observations. Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians and other staff members to ensure high-quality care. Requirements Previous experience in a kennel, pet sitting, or veterinary assistant role is preferred. Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of animal behavior. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care. Familiarity with veterinary procedures and terminology is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
