An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description
- Ability to bathe, trim nails and express glands of dogs of various breeds/sizes when required
- Ability to work within a team as well as independently; both Morning Shift 7am-2pm and evening shift 2pm-10pm
- Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic situations while maintaining composure and getting things done.
- Be able to take initiative and solve problems.
- Able to make a commitment to work on assigned days and hours.
- Care and feeding of daycare and boarding dogs.
- Administering medication.
- Cleaning and sanitizing runs, general cleaning of all kennel areas.
- Answer phones, make reservations, check-in/out customers, and appropriately handle associated paperwork.
- Must be very detail oriented and able to multi-task.
Pay:
$15.00- $16.
