Duties Safely handle dogs during bathing, grooming, and drying processes, ensuring comfort and security at all times Perform duties for the dogs such as, trimming nails, cleaning ears, bathing, drying and other tasks with precision and care Restrain animals gently but effectively during grooming procedures to ensure safety for both pets and staff Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare recommendations Maintain a clean and organized station, including sanitation of tools and work areas Assist with pet handling during check-in and check-out processes, providing excellent customer service Support kennel duties as needed, including light lifting of animals and maintaining overall cleanliness of the facility Qualifications Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred; familiarity with dog training or veterinary technician experience is a plus Strong knowledge of animal care practices not required but is a plus Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint methods and animal handling skills Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners confidently and professionally Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during busy grooming sessions Experience working with animals such as dogs, or cats is advantageous but not required A genuine passion for animal welfare combined with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a difference in the lives of pets while advancing their career in animal care.
