Description Kennelwood Pet Resorts is looking for a Pet Groomer to be a part of a growing industry leader pet care business. As a Pet Groomer you ensure that each pet enjoys clean and healthy skin and fur and that the cut is done according to the client's preferences. You have the opportunity to build trusting relationships with the clients and their pets. You love making the animals look and feel their best and are always working to brush up on and improve your professional grooming skills!Essential duties and responsibilities:
Perform standard grooming services such as brushing, de-matting, and Shed-X Provide specialized breed cuts Ability to showcase your individual creative side while meeting the requests of the clients Prepare, bathe, and finish animals using a calm demeanor in order to minimize stress Help to promote a safe and positive grooming experience for all involved Help to acclimate Grooming Technicians in order to ensure their continued development Keep accurate records for the animals in your careRequirements:
Qualifications:
Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods Ability to lift at least 40 lbs on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs on occasion Ability to walk dogs of all sizes on leashes Ability to handle dogs of all sizes Comfortable working around pet hair and dander A passion for animals Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays At least 6 months of dog grooming experience Knowledge of breed standard cuts and ability to adapt to breed standard cuts according to individual needs What's in it for you?
