!! The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Animal Shelter Assistant. This position will assist with all types of duties at the Animal Shelter and make a difference in our community and those that live in it! This position will participate in the daily operations of the animal shelter including animal enclosure cleaning, maintenance, record keeping, animal admissions, and animal welfare. Position will focus heavily on cleaning and disinfecting animal enclosures, removing animal waste, and working in a noisy/wet environment. Applicants will need the ability to complete tasks independently and also dispatch calls from the public to the Animal Control Officers - excellent customer service skills are a must! Previous customer service, cleaning and maintenance experience. Licensing/Certification Requires a valid driver's license.
