Responsibilities Perform pet grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail trimming with precision and care. Handle animals safely and gently, utilizing proper restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety for both pets and staff. Assess each pet's coat, skin condition, and temperament to determine appropriate grooming procedures. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized regularly. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide advice on pet care. Assist with dog training sessions or behavioral assessments as needed to support overall pet well-being. Support veterinary staff with animal handling, veterinary technician tasks, or other animal care duties when required. Skills Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant. Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safe grooming sessions. Familiarity with veterinary environments, including veterinary experience or veterinary assistant skills. Ability to lift heavy objects safely during equipment handling or kennel duties. Strong animal handling skills across various species including dogs, cats, and equines. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.
