Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Technician, where your passion for animal care and love for pets will shine! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional care and attention to our furry residents, ensuring they are comfortable, clean, and happy. Your energetic approach and dedication will help create a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for animals in our pet care facility. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals daily, supporting their well-being and strengthening their trust in us. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed by vet Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitization and cleaning routines Handle animals safelyn to ensure their comfort and safety during bathing, medical procedures, or movement Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of distress or illness and report concerns promptly Assist with pet boarding services by supervising pets' activities and ensuring their needs are met during their stay Support pet grooming activities such as bathing and nail trimming to keep animals looking and feeling their best Engage in outdoor work including playing with dogs, cleaning outdoor area, and providing enrichment activities to promote mental stimulation Skills Prior experience in veterinary clinics or animal facilities is highly desirable Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal behavior and techniques Experience with pet sitting, pet boarding, or dog training is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving supplies or assisting with kennel cleaning equipment Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Knowledge of pet grooming practices and animal care standards Ability to work outdoors comfortably in various weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners! Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
