Your expertise in animal handling, grooming techniques, and customer communication will help foster lasting relationships with pet owners while showcasing your love for animals. Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including brushing, trimming, and styling coats to meet breed standards and owner preferences Handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments with care, ensuring proper animal restraint and safety throughout grooming procedures Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims to promote pet health and hygiene Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare advice Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and work areas after each appointment Assist with pet handling during check-in and check-out processes, ensuring a smooth customer experience Support additional animal care tasks such as kennel cleaning or light pet sitting when needed Experience Prior experience in pet grooming or related animal care roles such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is highly desirable Knowledge of dog handling techniques and canine behavior management Experience with veterinary procedures like animal restraint is a plus Strong communication skills for engaging with pet owners effectively Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger dogs or equipment Previous work in dog grooming roles demonstrates reliability and animal care competence Join us to turn your love for animals into a fulfilling career where every day is an opportunity to improve pets' lives through expert grooming and compassionate care!
