Dogwood Kennels & Cattery

• Catawba, NC Dogwood Kennels & Cattery is looking for dependable, motivated individuals to join our team.

We are hiring year-round team members only (not seasonal/summer help). As part of our kennel staff, you will be responsible for the daily care of our boarding and daycare dogs and cats. We take pride in providing exceptional pet care and outstanding customer service , and we are looking for people who share that commitment.

Daily responsibilities include:

Feeding and caring for dogs and cats Cleaning kennels and cattery spaces Scooping waste and maintaining sanitary conditions Preparing food and medications (as needed) General facility upkeep and maintenance This is physically demanding work. Candidates must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Dogs may pull on leashes, jump, or be fearful or reactive, requiring confident and attentive handling. The job also involves standing, bending, lifting, and being on your feet for most of your shift. You will also spend a significant amount of time working outdoors and must be able to work safely and comfortably in all types of weather, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.

Requirements:

Prior dog and cat care experience preferred Strong reliability and attendance (animals depend on us every day) Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Willingness to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Schedule:

We are open 7 days a week from 7:00 AM

• 7:00 PM Typical shifts: 7:00 AM
• 1:00 PM 1:00 PM
• 7:00 PM Full-time and part-time positions available.

We are located in Catawba near Bandy's High School.
