Job Description

We're hiring TWO Wildlife Technicians to join our growing team! Are you hardworking, dependable and looking for more than just another job? Do you enjoy working with your hands, solving problems and learning new skills? Are you someone who takes pride in doing things right, even when nobody is watching? If so, we want to hear from you. Freedom Wildlife Solutions & Pest Control is a veteran-owned, family-operated company built around one belief: When we invest in the right people, we build a great company. We're looking for two individuals who share our values and want to build a career in the wildlife control industry. Whether you have 10 years of experience or have never worked in wildlife control, we're interested in the person behind the résumé. No experience required. A willingness to learn is. Who We Are At Freedom Wildlife Solutions & Pest Control, we're a culture-first company. Our mission is to create opportunities for our team members to achieve their career, personal and financial goals while delivering exceptional service to our customers. Our company operates on six core values:
Trust:
Do the right thing, especially when nobody is watching.
Professionalism:
Take pride in your appearance, communication and workmanship.
Safety:
Protect yourself, your teammates and our customers.
Teamwork:
Put the success of the team ahead of individual egos.
Education:
Remain coachable, embrace training and continuously improve.
Hard Work:
Show up ready to work, take ownership and finish what you start. These aren't just words on a wall. They're the standards we hire by, train by and hold ourselves accountable to every day. If these values align with who you are, keep reading. What You'll Be Doing Our Wildlife Technicians are responsible for solving wildlife problems and protecting customers' homes from future animal intrusions. This is hands-on, physically demanding work that requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills and pride in your craftsmanship.
Your responsibilities will include:
Inspecting homes and buildings to identify wildlife activity, damage and potential entry points. Removing wildlife, including squirrels, raccoons, bats, birds, opossums and other nuisance animals. Performing wildlife exclusion work to prevent animals from reentering structures. Working in attics, crawlspaces, on ladders and rooftops, and in challenging outdoor environments. Installing exclusion materials, performing repairs and completing wildlife prevention projects. Documenting inspections and completed work using photographs, detailed notes and our company software. Identifying additional customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions. Communicating professionally with customers and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Following company safety procedures, installation standards and established processes. Our work is backed by strong warranties, including a lifetime wildlife exclusion warranty for qualifying customers. Quality matters, and we expect our technicians to take ownership of every job.
Our Training Program:
Everyone Starts With the Same Standards We believe great technicians are developed through great training. Every new employee, regardless of previous experience, must successfully complete our in-house Wildlife Technician Certification Program. Our program is designed to take the right person with no experience and develop them into a capable, confident wildlife professional. For experienced technicians, it ensures that everyone understands and consistently follows Freedom's procedures, quality standards and expectations. Previous experience is valuable, but it does not replace our training. We're looking for people who are confident in their abilities but humble enough to recognize that there's always something new to learn. All new hires begin in our Wildlife Helper/Trainee position at an established training pay rate while completing the required training and certification process. To advance to Wildlife Technician, employees must successfully complete our internal certification program and hold the required North Carolina Wildlife Control Agent License. If you don't already have your state license, we'll provide the training and cover the licensing expenses. Until you're properly licensed and qualified, you'll work alongside our licensed technicians. Your progression is based on demonstrated competency, certification, licensing and performance—not simply how long you've been with the company. Who We're Looking For We're hiring for character, work ethic and potential.
Our ideal candidate:
Is dependable, punctual and takes personal responsibility. Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in completing quality work. Is coachable, accepts constructive feedback and actively seeks improvement. Can follow established systems and procedures rather than taking shortcuts. Has excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. Enjoys working as part of a team and helping teammates succeed. Is comfortable performing physically demanding work in challenging environments. Communicates professionally and treats customers and coworkers with respect. Wants to build a career, develop new skills and take on additional responsibilities. Experience is welcome, but attitude is nonnegotiable. If you have construction, roofing, carpentry, wildlife control, pest control or other hands-on experience, we'd love to hear from you. If you have no experience but possess the right attitude and work ethic, we'd love to hear from you, too. We're not looking for someone who already knows everything. We're looking for someone who wants to keep getting better. Position Requirements Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass a background check. Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds. Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders and accessing rooftops. Ability to work in confined spaces, including attics and crawlspaces. Willingness to work outdoors throughout the year in varying weather conditions. Ability to follow detailed instructions, safety requirements and company procedures. Commitment to completing our internal certification and applicable state licensing requirements. What We Offer We believe that investing in our employees is one of the most important investments we can make. Competitive hourly compensation with a structured advancement path. Paid, comprehensive in-house wildlife technician training. Company-paid North Carolina Wildlife Control Agent licensing and training. Company-paid opportunities for additional industry certifications and professional development. Defined career progression from Wildlife Helper to Wildlife Technician I, Technician II, Technician III and potential leadership opportunities. Pay increases tied to successful completion of required licensing, certifications and advancement milestones. Opportunities to earn commission on approved additional services once eligible. Company-provided vehicle for eligible technicians, uniforms, tools and tablet. Health insurance. 401(k) with company matching after 90 days. 10 days of paid time off. A supportive team environment where your development and success matter. We promote from within whenever possible and want our employees to see a future with our company. This Position May NOT Be Right for
You If:
You're looking for an easy job or don't enjoy physically demanding work. You struggle with accountability or constructive feedback. You believe previous experience means you shouldn't have to complete training. You prefer doing things your own way instead of following established company standards. You're unwilling to help teammates or take responsibility for the quality of your work. We're proud of our culture and protective of the team we've built. We're looking for people who will contribute to it. Ready to Build a Career With Freedom? We're currently filling TWO Wildlife Technician positions based out of Clayton, North Carolina. If you're hardworking, coachable and looking for a company that will invest in your future, we encourage you to apply. Tell us why you'd be a great addition to our team. Job details
