Duties Assist groomers with pet handling, including calming anxious dogs and ensuring proper animal restraint during grooming procedures Support pet coat styling and grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, trimming fur, and pet nail trimming Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and bathing areas to promote hygiene and safety standards Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, pet behavior, and aftercare instructions Help with animal care routines including feeding, basic veterinary-related tasks, and monitoring pet health during visits Handle animals safely during heavy lifting or when managing multiple pets at once to prevent injury or stress Support the team in maintaining a calm environment by managing animal behavior and assisting with pet sitting or short-term care as needed Requirements Prior experience in dog handling, pet grooming, or animal care is highly preferred but willing to train the right person from the ground up; Strong communication skills to interact confidently with pet owners and team members; Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move animals or equipment safely Familiarity with pet coat styling, nail trimming, and general grooming practices is a plus but not mandatory; Experience working with animals such as dogs, cats, or equines is advantageous but not mandatory A genuine love for animals is mandatory and a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in pet care and grooming This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their expertise in animal handling while providing exceptional care.
