An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Purrfect Paradise Cat Hotel is a boutique, cat-only boarding facility with locations in Pineville and Concord, NC. Our spacious, bedroom-sized suites are designed to provide a peaceful, home-like environment for our feline guests, complete with cozy sun-soaked napping spots and shelves to explore. We are currently seeking a Cat Hotel Attendant to join our dedicated team. This is a supplemental income position that is ideal for someone with varying availability in the mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays, who doesn't need a set amount of hours to work each week. ✨
Position Details Concord Shifts Available:
Morning (AM)
Shift:
Begins around 730-8 AM (sometimes lasts 1-3 hours, depending on how many guests we have). Afternoon (PM)
Shift:
Begins around 330-4 PM (sometimes lasts 1-3 hours, depending on how many guests we have). Shift hours vary, depending on the number of feline guests Responsibilities and partial job description include: A lot of the position is detailed daily cleaning (mopping, wiping surfaces, vacuuming, dishes, sweeping, and scooping litterboxes, to name a few) Disinfecting suites between guest stays Observing and recording guest health and behavior Feeding and playing with cats Administering medications (pills and injections) Understanding cat body language Scooping and maintaining litter boxes Checking in and out guests Preparing suites for new arrivals Communicating with pet parents and fellow staff Heavy emphasis on cleaning and disinfecting rooms
What We're Looking For:
You genuinely love cats and understand feline behavior You are incredibly detail-oriented and take pride in a clean space You love to clean Comfortable with administering medications (training can be provided) You're reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently or in a small group setting Willing to work weekends, holidays, AM shifts and PM shifts as needed Previous animal care experience is a plus , but not required Prefer a minimum of a high school graduate or equivalent How to
