Duties Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques, ensuring their comfort and security during interactions Maintain cleanliness of the facility by sanitizing kennels, grooming areas, and common spaces to promote animal health and safety Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and outdoor exercise routines to ensure pets are active and engaged Support pet grooming activities such as bathing, brushing, and basic styling to enhance pet comfort and appearance Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness and communicate observations to veterinary or management staff Engage in team lifting and physical tasks necessary for kennel maintenance, including heavy lifting of supplies or equipment Qualifications Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly desirable Experience with pet sitting, dog training, or animal handling enhances your ability to excel in this role Strong background in kennel operations, animal care, or pet boarding is preferred Ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions with enthusiasm Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and animal behavior is a plus Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks safely Familiarity with cleaning protocols specific to pet care facilities ensures proper sanitization standards are met Join us if you're passionate about animals, eager to learn new skills, and ready to make a positive impact on pets' lives!
