Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Attendant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care and comfort to our furry guests! In this energetic role, you will ensure the well-being, cleanliness, and safety of animals in our pet care facility. Your enthusiasm for animals and dedication to outstanding customer service will help create a positive environment for pets and their owners alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with animals, develop valuable skills, and contribute to their happiness and health. Responsibilities Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, exercising, and monitoring animals throughout their stay Maintain a clean and sanitized environment by performing kennel cleaning, bedding changes, and facility sanitization Handle animals safely using proper animal restraint techniques and animal handling skills Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and pet grooming services as needed Observe animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness and communicate concerns to veterinary staff or management Support team lifting efforts when moving large or heavy animals or equipment safely Ensure all pet care procedures adhere to safety standards and promote animal welfare at all times Requirements Prior experience in veterinary settings, kennel work, pet sitting, or animal handling is highly preferred Ability to perform outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Capable of heavy lifting and physical activity required for animal restraint and kennel maintenance Must be 18 years old. Must be able to work holidays and weekends (that doesn't mean you will have to work every holiday or weekend) Have reliable transportation The facility operates 7 days per week, 365 days per year. This position operates on a split shift, (7:15 am-12:00 pm) and (1:45 pm-7:00 pm) on weekdays and 7:30 am - noon and 2:45 - 6 pm on weekends. Theses hours can vary slightly depending on amount of animals boarding. Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
