Job Summary:
Your role is to provide impeccable grooming and pet care to our customers. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in grooming various breads, have strong knowledge of grooming techniques, and possess a deep love for dogs. This position will be responsible for providing services such as bathing, haircuts, nail trimming, and ear cleaning, while ensuring the each pet looks and feels their best! Customer satisfaction and animal safety will be the top priorities in this role. The grooming facilities are located within the pet resort and this is an on-site position. The Dog Groomer will report to the General Manager.
Key Functions & Responsibilities:
Perform grooming services including, but not limited to, bathing, drying, brushing, hair cutting, nail trimming and ear cleaning. Assess the condition of each dog's coat and skin to recommend appropriate grooming techniques. Use grooming tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their grooming preferences and the pet's grooming needs. Handle dogs with care and patience, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the grooming process. Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming environment. Keep accurate records of services provided and products used on each pet. Manage appointments using our operations software and ensure timely service delivery.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working as a groomer Certification from a grooming school is a plus Ability to handle and restrain dogs of all sizes and temperaments Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for grooming aesthetics Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift medium to large dogs Compassionate and a love for dogs, as well as a commitment to their well-being Basic computer skills, familiarity with Gingr is a plus A commitment to providing excellent customer service Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as needed About All American Pet Resorts•
