In this vital role, you will provide exceptional care and attention to our dogs during weekend shifts(Friday - Sunday), ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Your energetic approach will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pets and their owners alike. Responsibilities Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, exercising, and monitoring animals' health and behavior during weekend shifts Handle pet boarding, and pet sitting duties with patience and professionalism Assist with animal handling and restraint to ensure safety for pets and staff during routine procedures or emergencies Maintain cleanliness of kennels, animal housing areas, and common spaces through thorough sanitization and cleaning practices Observe animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness and report findings to staff as needed Support outdoor work activities such as walking dogs, cleaning outdoor kennels, and supervising playtime in secure outdoor areas Qualifications Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly preferred Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel operations is a strong plus Knowledge of animal handling techniques, animal restraint methods, and pet grooming skills Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when needed for kennel setup or cleaning tasks Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Strong animal care knowledge including pet boarding procedures, pet care facility sanitization, and understanding of animal behavior Outdoor work experience demonstrating comfort working in various weather conditions Ability to work independently during weekend shifts while maintaining high standards of animal safety and care Join us in creating a safe haven for dogs while building rewarding relationships with animals and their owners.
